Friday Fab Five

Now that I'm a housewife, stay at home mom - I have fallen in love with pinterest.  There's so much inspiration out there!  Thought I'd share 5 boards that are inspiring my current projects/obsessions :)

1. Men's Fashion - Spring Style

I am obsessed with men's fashion.  Probably more than women's.  Maybe its because I don't mind looking at men in tailored suits all day long.  These are some of my favorite men's fashion look book styles that came across my feed this week.  I'm definitely going to use these for inspiration when shopping for Nick as I love these looks!

2. Home Décor - Sofa Shopping

Right now Nicholas and I are trying to find the perfect new sofa/sectional for our condo.  These 2 pins have been providing me inspiration with what I've been looking for, to match a grown yet sexy, west coast beach/nautical theme.

Nicholas & I have been talking about this for awhile & are finally ready to make our purchase!  My checklist requires that it's some sort of blue or teal color, sleek & condo sized.  Nick's checklist is that it's as comfy as those big bulky cushiony sofas that you can sink in.  Since we both had different ideas of what we wanted, its taken some time to find the perfect one for us.  After looking at many options in Vancouver (without having to go down a custom route) I think we might be going with this one from Urban Barn.  They have a sale going on for 2 weeks with 15% off too!  Hopefully it will pass Nick's comfort test.

3. Travel - September Ideas

One of my favorite things to pin right now is destination ideas to visit!  Nicholas and I already know we are planning a getaway in mid September to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary.  One of the places I'm narrowing it down to is Santa Monica.  I've been there quite a few times already, and absolutely love it, and think it would make an amazing getaway with Nick.  Although I've explored Santa Monica/Venice Beach/Malibu quite a bit - I'm finding quite a few fun ideas to do there thanks to pinterest that I never even thought of!  I definitely want to explore this waterfall and this cave if we choose to go to Santa Monica.

4. Storage - Tie Organization

One thing I love about our condo is that we have a walk in closet!  Our clothes are perfectly organized, but not our accessories.  Purses/clutches/hats/belts/ties don't really have a home that showcases them in a neat and polished - yet stylish way.  For my first accessory project, I'm on the hunt for something like this.

5. Quotes to Live By

Some inspiration that caught my eye this week.

  1. Ooh I'm totally jealous of your walk in closet! My husband would love that tie organizer - sadly we have some jenky tie wrack hanging our closet to hold his since it's a space saver, haha. Those couches are all great - I think my fave would be the last one! Hope you have a great weekend! xoxo, - M @ The Sequin Notebook

However, I'll admit that reading about your upcoming trip to Santa Monica sounds so incredible it almost hurts! I can't wait to read all about it:)

    1. Thanks Audrey! We are undecided between Santa Monica, the Oregon coast - or possibly Hawaii depending on the time we have. Either way it will be a coastal adventure :)
